Find Your Wings

Golden Wings follows one American Airlines family across three generations: Robyn, her father, the colleague who helped him build the 747 training program, the woman who ran the school where Robyn trained, and the son who made the film.

• The flight attendant

  Robyn Stewart

American Airlines flight attendant since 1971, and the reason this film exists.

• The flight engineer

  Jay R. Ricks

Robyn's father and Caleb's Papa. He flew in World War II and helped build American Airlines' 747 training program.

• The collaborator

  Jock Bethune

The American Airlines media production specialist whose department made the slides for Jay Ricks' 747 ground school, and who told that story on camera.

• The head of school

  Millie Alford

The first director of American Airlines Stewardess College, and the woman at the foot of the staircase at Robyn's graduation.

• The director

  Caleb Mills Stewart

Robyn's son and Papa's grandson. I made Golden Wings for an audience of one.
